Description
How I make chicken caesar wrap for those moments when you need something satisfying fast – grilled chicken, crisp romaine, and creamy caesar dressing all tucked into a warm tortilla. It’s the kind of lunch that takes about ten minutes but tastes like you spent way more time on it.
Ingredients
Scale
Protein:
- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1 pound)
Vegetables:
- 4 cups romaine lettuce, chopped
Dairy and Condiments:
- 1/3 cup Caesar dressing
- 1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
Wraps:
- 4 large flour tortillas
Instructions
- Season your 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts with salt and pepper, then heat 2 teaspoons of olive oil in a skillet over medium heat at 350°F.
- Cook each breast for 6 to 7 minutes on each side until the exterior turns golden brown and your chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.
- Transfer your cooked chicken to a cutting board and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing it into thin strips.
- While your chicken rests, wash and chop 4 cups of romaine lettuce into bite-sized pieces.
- Combine 1/3 cup of Caesar dressing with 1/2 cup of freshly grated Parmesan cheese in a small bowl and mix until blended.
- Lay out your 4 large flour tortillas flat on a clean surface.
- Layer 1 cup of chopped romaine lettuce across the center of each tortilla, then top with equal portions of your sliced chicken.
- Drizzle approximately 1 to 2 tablespoons of the dressing mixture over your chicken and lettuce on each wrap.
- Sprinkle additional Parmesan cheese across the top of your filling, dividing the remaining amount among all 4 wraps.
- Fold the left and right edges of each tortilla toward the center, then roll tightly from the bottom up to seal everything inside.
- Cut each wrap diagonally across the middle and serve your wraps immediately, or wrap them tightly in foil for later enjoyment.
Notes
- Let your chicken rest for a few minutes after cooking so it stays juicy when you slice it, rather than cutting it right away while it’s still hot.
- Mix extra Parmesan into your Caesar dressing before spreading it on the tortillas, which gives the whole wrap a richer, more savory flavor throughout.
- If you’re making these ahead for lunch, keep the dressing separate and add it just before eating so your tortilla doesn’t get soggy.
- For a lighter version, swap regular tortillas for whole wheat ones, or use lettuce leaves instead of tortillas if you’re cutting carbs from your diet.
